1. License

Esraniki is free and open-source software licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0. The GPLv3 gives you the freedom to use, study, modify, and redistribute Esraniki, subject to the terms and conditions of that license. The full license text is included in the GitHub repository and is also available from the Free Software Foundation.

    The GPLv3 applies to:
  • The Esraniki software itself
  • The hosted Esraniki service (who's additionally subject to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy)

Nothing in these Terms or on this page is intended to restrict rights granted to you by the GPLv3.

3. Source & Contributions

Esraniki's source code is publicly available on GitHub.
Bug reports, suggestions, and feature requests are welcome through the issue tracker. Contributions are welcome as well. Unless otherwise stated for a particular contribution, contributions are made available under the applicable license of the part of the project to which they contribute. Contributors retain any rights they have in their contributions, subject to the applicable license and any contribution terms that apply to the project.

3. Open-source dependencies

Esraniki is built using a number of open-source projects. These projects remain the property of their respective authors and are used under their respective licenses.

    Core dependencies

  • discord.js - Node.js library for interacting with the Discord API.
  • @discord/embedded-app-sdk - Discord's SDK for building embedded Activities.
  • @discordjs/voice - Voice connection handling for discord.js.
  • dotenv - Loads environment variables from a .env file.
  • ffmpeg-static - Provides an ffmpeg binary for audio processing.
  • libsodium-wrappers - Encryption library used for Discord voice.
  • opusscript - Opus audio codec implementation.
  • youtube-dl-exec - Media download tooling (work in progress, not yet implemented as of v1.3.1).
  • colorette - Terminal color formatting used in logging.
  • Node.js - The JavaScript runtime Esraniki runs on.

    Dashboard and interface

  • Lucide Icons - The icon set used throughout the dashboard.
  • Catppuccin - The color palette the dashboard's themes are built on.
  • JetBrains Mono - The monospace typeface used across the interface.
  • Twemoji - The emoji artwork used for language flags.

The licenses and copyright notices applicable to these projects are available in their respective repositories and distributed license files. Where a dependency requires specific attribution, copyright notices, or license notices to be preserved, those requirements remain applicable to the relevant component.

5. Third-party services

    Esraniki relies on several independent third-party services and APIs to provide some of its features:
  • Discord - The platform Esraniki operates on.
  • Twitch - Live stream status via the Twitch Helix API.
  • mcsrvstat.us - Minecraft server status lookups.

These services are operated independently from Esraniki and are subject to their own terms, policies, and privacy practices. Esraniki does not control the availability, operation, or policies of these third-party services. For information about how these services relate to personal-data processing, see the Privacy Policy.

6. Trademark notice

Esraniki is an independent open-source project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord Inc., Twitch Interactive, Mojang Studios, Microsoft, or any other third-party service referenced by Esraniki. Discord, Twitch, Minecraft, Mojang, Microsoft, and their respective names, logos, and trademarks are the property of their respective owners. Third-party names and trademarks are referenced only to identify the services, technologies, and integrations used by or supported by Esraniki.
